Flexible study plan

Six blocks you can fit around your timetable.

A block can take a day or several weeks. Progress when you can retrieve and apply the material—not simply because a date has passed.

  1. 1

    Identify your state pathway

Find the regulator, registry and contracted test provider for your state. Record the correct candidate handbook, eligibility route and application process.

  2. 2

    Map both components

Separate the knowledge examination from the clinical-skills evaluation. List the current content outline, skill list and critical steps from your handbook.

  3. 3

    Review knowledge by topic

Study one content area at a time, retrieve it without notes and use focused questions to expose misunderstandings.

  4. 4

    Rehearse skills correctly

Practise complete skills using the current evaluator checklist, verbalising steps when appropriate and protecting safety, privacy and infection control.

  5. 5

    Combine and time practice

Alternate knowledge practice with full clinical-skill rehearsals under the time and equipment rules that apply to your test.

  6. 6

    Check exam-day readiness

Recheck identification, dress, equipment, arrival and rescheduling rules in the current state handbook before attending.

A repeatable study rhythm

Learn, retrieve, practise, review.

01

Learn

Work through the relevant official or provider material and note the outcomes you are expected to understand.

02

Retrieve

Close the material and explain the topic in your own words before checking what you missed.

03

Practise

Use focused questions to apply the topic, then record incorrect and uncertain answers.

04

Review

Return to the source, correct the misunderstanding and repeat later without the answer in view.

Readiness checklist

Look for consistent evidence—not one encouraging score.

Tick these only when they are true across more than one recent study session.

  • I have the current candidate handbook for my state and testing provider.
  • I know which written, oral and clinical components apply to me.
  • I can perform each required skill from start to finish using the current evaluator checklist.
  • I consistently protect safety, privacy and infection control during skills practice.
  • I have reviewed incorrect and uncertain knowledge answers against my approved training material.
  • I have checked the current identification, arrival and exam-day rules.

Optional practice layer

Continue with focused practice in the app.

Use practice results to find weak areas, then return to the current official material to correct gaps and keep the source of truth clear.
